YOUR FIRST PROJECT STARTS HERE

Make yourself
at home.

A local folder, a connected provider, and an idea.
Here's how to get your workspace ready.

01 / INSTALL

A new home for your workflow.

Download the Windows x64 setup program, run it, and follow the installation prompts. Prefer an MSI package? That option is available too.

The current release is for Windows x64. A provider CLI and sign-in are needed to start an agent.

02 / CONNECT

Bring a provider you already use.

Atcode uses your installed coding CLIs and their sign-ins. You only need one provider to get started. Follow the provider's official instructions to install its CLI and authenticate.

For Kiro, you can also open Settings → AI accounts → Connect Kiro inside Atcode, finish the sign-in flow, and choose Check connection. Use the current CLI with the V3 engine, rather than the Kiro IDE launcher.

Subscriptions, model access, and inference charges stay with your provider. Atcode does not supply or combine AI credits.

03 / OPEN

Start where your code lives.

Choose Open project folder or press Ctrl + O and select a local folder. Your sessions, tasks, and project memory stay associated with that project.

Create a session, choose an installed provider and model, and add your task. Saving a task does not start an agent. Use Start agent when you're ready to run it.

Choose CLI default to keep the model configured by your provider. You can set new-session preferences under Settings → Session defaults.

04 / BUILD

Give your team a direction.

Open the Team leader page and give it a concrete goal. Let the leader propose focused tasks, then approve workers when you're ready. Workers use isolated Git worktrees, so parallel changes remain separate.

  • Use a Git repository with at least one commit for isolated workers.
  • Review committed changes in the diff view.
  • Stop the completed worker and approve its merge when both trees are clean.
  • Leave YOLO mode off for approval-driven worker starts and merges.

Use the Agents page to follow terminals and progress. Integrated shell tabs are available for your own project commands.

05 / KEEP GOING

Let your workspace grow with you.

Use Menu → Check for updates to see new releases. Choose Install and restart when you're ready. Atcode verifies the downloaded signature before stopping agents and terminals.

Background checks can be controlled in Settings → App updates. If you installed the original 0.1.0 release, manually install 0.1.1 once to switch to the current update location.
